Purchase my first Paramotor - a DK beat unit. Still not legal to fly in the UK until the yellow exemption late in 1995/early 1996. Took the unit to France to fly it on acquisition and then first flight in the UK in December 1995. The highly modified version of the DK below (left and Middle) allowed the engine to run cool and achieve better fuel economy due to the low cage drag. This little machine only weight 20KG and put out over 22.5Hp from a twin cylinder single cylinder copy of a Limbach engine.

The owner of AV8er later produced a twin cylinder twin carburettor version of the same (using the superior 250CC Limbach Engine - and this unit is still flying in Brighton by Reg today!! -  Reg's machine - shown on the right.

1996

Began producing experimenting with different cage designs and engine types to test design and durability

1998

Continued to test cages, transmissions and engine designs to design limits  - shown is a selection of designs from 1996 ~ 2000

Malaysia 2000

Flew through the PETRONAS towers, walked near Kota Kinabalu - flew over the Borneo jungle and skimmed the water near Mabul Island with a group of Wonderful friends -courtesy of Colonel Basir's guidance and hospitality. Video CD Available at £4.95 per copy

Jun

 2000

Av8er began producing a full range of light machines using various engines and patented - fluid in chassis machines - such as this one middle bottom of frame  (No visible Fuel Tank!)

The machine featured very light weight aero dynamically shaped extruded cage tubing- to reduce weight and absorb vibration, and weight shift or high hang-point harness.

All fuel tubes were welded then sealed internally with epoxy resin for added strength - and pressure tested to 75PSI. Machine on the right (lower) weighed only 17KG with electric start, battery and harness - and is still owned by the original purchaser in Norfolk.

Text Box: Paramotor Harmonics
Text Box:

Designs were tested on Harmonic rigs to simulate engine vibration at 2 to 10,000 RPM. From this information, wave shaped chassis were borne absorbing engine and props harmonics, as well as five blade props for wispy 55DB quietness!!.
