(and we dont mind who you bought it from!!)


A range of aerial activities for members and visiting pilots aimed to further develop practical pilot skills 
The club's focus is to provide local facilities for Pilots of AV8ER Products, (The AV8ER Owners Club) and visiting pilots who have 3rd Party insurance. (We can usually arrange for training and insurance for you)

Whilst the weather is a factor outside of our control we  offer a range of activities from April  2004 including:
- Assistance on Planning a X-country flight within the area, 
- Regular flying events, 
- Talks on subjects which are relevant to the sport,
- Air experience days and demonstrations for new and existing pilots.

We welcome all newcomers and existing Club/FLPA pilots

Cross Country Flying

For Members commencing from late April/May

Volunteers are always welcome to help organise the events, act as retrieves and negotiate with local landowners in connection with landing out sites. We give free air experience rides for those donating their services and wishing to learn to fly.

Coaching

Canopy handling for new and existing pilots.

Special Activities:

- First Aid Courses - By Arrangement. Approx. Cost £60.
- Understanding your Aeronautical Charts & Chart folding
- Specialist talks relevant to the FLPA qualification

Membership Fees and Options

- AV8ER OWNERS CLUB (Genie/Reflex/Av8er PARAMOTOR OWNER....from £155 to £255 PER YEAR) entitles you to great discounts on parts and maintenance, access to flying sites - as well as special manuals and updates etc., and free retrieves if you land out!!

- All other membership types available from £225 per year for access to several sites and Club activities.

If you are flying mid-week and 5 or more gliders are sharing the site, use free phone 0800 515544 for the Civil Aircraft Notification procedure. This call is to be made at least 4 hours before intended flying time to allow aircrew to have the information when they are planning their flights or sorties .

N.B. All AV8ER sites have agreed no-fly zones.

Sites near - and around Byfield have no-fly zones and some very expensive livestock!

Please read our site rules, and understand the implications of the micrometeorology, livestock - and noise abatement issues within the areas covered by the AV8ER site Guide.

!! Please do not fly this site without daily permissions in place - Our Club Activities depend on it!!

You must be a member to fly these sites, and you should be in possession of a current site guide, showing health and safety guidelines and a risk assessment of the site - and you must have third party insurance in place if not under direct supervision.

Please Note:- If you haven't paid your membership fees for 2010 -  you are not a member -  and must call 07891 407612 and advise the site officer prior to flying this site and pay your daily dues and to notify the safety officer that you are on site.
